Natural Remedies- An Overview

Bronchial asthma is a chronic disease that affects your airways and is also one of the most common diseases found worldwide. In the majority of cases, the disease is mild and is often not recognized. However, with increasing industrialization and consequently the invasion of allergens into our daily life can increase the prevalence of asthma. The main symptoms of asthma are recurrent breathing problems, wheezing, breathlessness, coughing, chest tightness etc.

The main cause of asthma is unknown till date. However some factors that are known to increase the likelihood of developing asthma might be developing another atopic condition like food allergy or having a family history of any allergy related conditions or asthma. Either way, bronchial asthma is on the rise throughout the world. Irrespective of this, medical science has not yet found a permanent cure for asthma.

However, Ayurveda has found some remedies that can help you in avoiding frequent attacks. Instead of searching for a temporary relief, Ayurveda concentrates on the causative factors and the predisposing conditions. For instance, apart from the respiratory afflictions, this medical science gives emphasis to the gastro-intestinal factors to be the cause for bronchial asthma.
